Terms of Service
These terms cover the hosted Neiliro service. Short version: it's your data, we run the servers, be decent, and either of us can end this — with you keeping everything you put in.
The service
Neiliro is a household organizer — tasks, notes, calendar, money, and a family mailbox — provided by Denis Burtsev ("we"). The hosted service is young: features change, and availability is best-effort. We run monitoring, nightly encrypted backups, and take the operation seriously, but we do not yet promise an uptime level.
Price and trial
Every family starts with 30 days free, no card needed — 60 when it arrives through another family's referral link, and the family whose link it was gains a free month once the new family subscribes. Referral days are free time on the plan and not money: they are not paid out, not transferable, and not refundable. We may change or end the referral scheme for new sign-ups; days already granted stay. After that there is one plan, per family and not per person: €4.99 a month or €44.99 a year, everything included, VAT included where it applies. Payments are taken by our payment provider, Paddle, which sells the subscription to you as the merchant of record and issues the receipt; card details go to Paddle and never reach us. Cancel anytime from the customer portal — the plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for. A payment can be refunded on request within 14 days of being made, no questions asked; after that we do not refund the remainder of a period. The Refund Policy spells it out.
Until paying is possible inside the hub, the free period simply continues, and we write to the family's administrator at least 14 days before the first charge. Families created before the public launch keep the promise made to them at the time: the paid plan free for one year from launch.
When a subscription ends
If the trial ends without a subscription, or a payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days, the family's space becomes read-only: everyone can still sign in, read everything and export the archive, but nothing can be added or changed. It stays that way for 60 days, during which subscribing brings everything back as it was. After the 60 days, having written to the administrator twice, we remove the family's data; backups expire 14 days later, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Your data and your exit
- Everything your family puts into Neiliro remains yours.
- You can export your complete archive anytime, in trial, subscribed or read-only, free. The archive restores into the open-source self-hosted edition — there is no lock-in, deliberately.
- We access family content only as strictly necessary to operate the service (for example, restoring your family from a backup you asked for), or with your explicit permission during a support request — and since September 2026 the words in it are encrypted with a key we do not hold.
- How we handle data is covered by the Privacy Policy.
Your part
- Keep your credentials safe; enable two-factor authentication (we built it for you). A password reset by email does not turn two-factor off — it is a second factor, not a second password. If you lose both, write to us.
- Sign in with an address you actually own, and confirm it when we ask. That address is how an account is recovered, so it has to be real and yours — an unconfirmed one simply never receives a reset link. Changing a member's login address is the administrator's job, and the new address has to be confirmed again.
- Keep the family's recovery code somewhere safe. Your content is encrypted with a key we do not hold, so a lost password can be reset, but a family that loses every device and the code has lost the key — and we cannot give it back.
- The family administrator decides who joins the family space and is responsible for those invitations.
- Use the service lawfully. In particular, the family mailbox is for your household's own correspondence — using it to send spam or abusive mail gets a family suspended, because it would poison email deliverability for every other family.
- Storage quotas exist and are enforced; they're generous for a household's real needs.
Ending things
- You: delete your family anytime from settings. You'll get your export; data and backups are removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Your family's address is held for a year afterwards so it cannot land with a stranger; come back within that year and ask, and it is yours again.
- We: may suspend a family that violates these terms (with notice and a chance to respond, unless the violation is causing active harm) or when the law requires it. Even then, you get your export.
- If we ever discontinue the hosted service, you'll get at least 90 days' notice, your export, and a refund for the part of a paid period you did not get — and the self-hosted edition remains yours forever.
The boring-but-necessary part
The service is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim — which during a free trial is zero. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. These terms are governed by the laws of Serbia. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stands.
Open source
The self-hosted edition of Neiliro is open source under AGPL-3.0 and is not covered by these terms — its license is in the repository.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll email your family's administrator at least 14 days before the change takes effect, and the hub shows the administrator a notice until they dismiss it. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, export and delete — no hard feelings. What changed and when, newest first:
- September 13, 2026 — the price replaces the beta: 30 days free, then one plan per family through Paddle; the refund policy; sign-up from this website; the family's recovery code and what losing it means; no uptime level promised yet, said plainly.
- August 26, 2026 — account recovery by e-mail to a confirmed address; changing a login address is the administrator's job.
