home base.
Tasks, calendar, money, notes, and a shared mailbox — one calm, private app for the whole household. Built by a family that got tired of juggling five apps.
Hosted beta is rolling out in small batches — beta families keep the paid plan free for a year after launch. Impatient? Poke around the live demo — no signup.

What's inside
Everything a household runs on
Tasks
Chores that don't fall through the cracks
Shared projects, recurring chores, and a Today view that shows each person exactly what's on their plate — and what's quietly gone overdue.
Calendar
One calendar the whole family actually sees
Shared events, birthdays, repeating rhythms, and countdowns to the things you're looking forward to — at a glance on the kitchen tablet.
Money
Know where the money goes — together
Accounts, budgets with subcategories, regular bills, and multi-currency support. Reconcile against your real balance to the cent — no spreadsheet required.
Notes
The family's shared memory
Shopping lists, recipes, house rules, packing lists — rich notes everyone can read and edit, living right next to the plans they belong to.
A mailbox for the household, not another inbox
School letters and utility bills land in the family mailbox where anyone can read them — and one tap turns “the boiler service email” into a task. Replies go out from the shared family address.
On the go
It lives where your family lives
Neiliro installs straight to your phone's home screen, works offline, and doubles as a kitchen-tablet dashboard. No app store required.
The quiet details
Boring things, done properly
-
Private by design
Personal tasks and notes stay personal. Privacy is enforced on the server — there is no admin back door.
-
Two-factor login
TOTP two-factor auth, a device list, and one-click sign-out of every other session.
-
Works offline
The dashboard still opens in a dead spot, and the app updates itself in the background.
-
Search everything
One search box across tasks, notes, events, transactions, and family mail.
-
Shareable wishlists
Send grandparents a wishlist link before birthdays — no account needed on their side.
-
Calm dark mode
A muted dark theme that won't light up the bedroom at 11pm.
Open source
Run it yourself — free, forever
Neiliro is open source (AGPL). Self-host the full product on your own server with Docker — every feature, no license keys, no phoning home. The hosted version simply saves you the server.
And moving between the two is one export away — in both directions. Your family's data is never locked in.
# your server, five minutes
git clone https://github.com/neiliro/neiliro
cd neiliro
docker compose up -d
Be first in the door
We're inviting families to the hosted beta in small batches. Everything is free during the beta — and beta families keep the paid plan free for a full year after launch.
